ha, today was one of the most
HU-MI-LI-A-TING days of this year,
THIS YEAR! and it's only
one of the best days of 2012:
the LEAP DAY of the predicted-end-of-the-world YEAR,
AND the last day of summer (i.e. almost-1st-day-of-autumn<3)...
sigh
as i walked out of
that class today,
i was thinking to myself:
"i feel like bashing something."
so here i am,
sitting here,
having already bashed myself up since class ended over
what happened today.
oh dear diary,
why, oh why,
am i so sad.
Astronomy Lesson
"Despite what our elementary teachers told us, a year isn't really 365 days. Our planet actually takes 365 1/4 days to revolve around the sun. These six additional hours each year add up to an extra 24 hours over four years, at which point we add a day to our calendar in order to keep us in sync with the sun. Without leap day, annual events would slowly shift seasons—eventually, we'd be celebrating Christmas in July." OH NO?! ------------
3. Eating TV dinners: Give up the guilt! Frozen meals are a healthy choice as long as they don't exceed 400 calories, 500 milligrams of sodium, 10 grams of total fat, and 5 grams of saturated fat, says Patricia Bannan, R.D., author of Eat Right When Time Is Tight. Prepackaged dinners can support your weight-loss efforts, too -- frozen meals are portion-controlled, teaching you what healthy helpings look like. You don't want to subsist on them, but they're a figure-friendly option a few times a week.
